Our first Philly snowfall of the winter! Huge, fluffy flakes falling down as I’m sitting in the living room, listening to Mannheim Steamroller’s “Deck the Halls.” Christmas will be extra fun this year– Ruby is big enough to understand a lot of it and actually participate (today we were at a play date where all the kids decorated sugar cookies– she “painted” on the frosting and especially liked the “glitter” sugar sprinkles!). We’re in the market for a tiny potted Christmas tree (not so tiny that we can’t put presents under it, of course!) and Monday is the target date for getting up the Christmas decorations.
My Christmas break begins officially whenever I have my last two finals written– one is 75% done but the other is only about 10% done, so I should have them totally finished in two weeks– once I’m done, school doesn’t start back up until the week of January 13. On a different note, my submission to the Journal of Religion and Society was accepted and should be published in the Spring! Its an open-access online journal, so I’ll post a link when its up.

We enjoy your web-site and watching Ruby grow. We are the Senior Missionaries that were visiting you in early 2009, We miss you and Philadelphia. We live in Layton, Utah
